We are looking forward to the performance by Jeneba Kanneh-Mason on Friday, February 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium.
The detailed online program has been posted at www.valleyconcertsociety.com .
There will be a pre-concert talk in the foyer at 6:50 p.m. Doors open to the public at 6:30 p.m.
I will add a friendly reminder that we are asking you not to use perfumes or scents at the concert out of consideration for those in our audience who experience adverse allergic reactions.
On Saturday, February 21, Jeneba will serve as the clinician at a master class at Calvin Presbyterian Church. Four talented local students will play for her and receive feedback and guidance. The class is open to the public beginning at 9:30 a.m. until noon. The doors open at 9:00 a.m.
Tickets for both the concert and master class are still available at the door or online. Concert tickets are $32 for seniors/adults and $20 for students. Master class tickets are $20. For more information, call 604-289-3377.
A note for those who plan to attend the master class. Ongoing construction will affect how you reach Calvin Presbyterian Church, 33911 Hazelwood Ave. Access to Hazelwood Avenue from the Mission Highway is completely closed. An alternate route is via Immel St. from Old Clayburn Rd. GPS marks the closure and can provide you with the best alternative.
I look forward to seeing you at the concert and/or the master class.
