The Best Deal Around

In my previous message, I extended the invitation to subscribe to the 2026-27 season of the Valley Concert Society because of the outstanding lineup of artists that awaits. Let me give you a more practical reason to subscribe.

It is no exaggeration to say that you will not find better prices for music of this calibre. A regular subscription at $150 gives you six concerts for $25 each. Compare this with what you might find elsewhere.

I recently attended a concert in Vancouver. The price for the second lowest tier of tickets was $52.  Parking cost $25. I could have attended three concerts in our series for that amount, without even taking into consideration the cost of the gas or the time driving in to the city.

We are offering you superb professional classical music for astonishingly low prices. The parking is free, and you don’t need to drive to the city.

The time to subscribe is now. If you are a member and have reserved seats, you have until June 30 to renew them. After that date they become available to the next new subscriber.

As well, each person who subscribes by June 30 is eligible to win an additional free subscription in a random draw.

If you are wondering what you would do with an extra subscription, here are some ideas. Invite a friend to join you for all six concerts. Or invite six friends to join you for one concert each. Or invite a couple to three concerts. I could go on. A subscription is six tickets. You could take six free tickets in any combination that you can work out with Anna, our ticket person.

With all this talk of practicalities, just remember that stirring musical experiences await, evenings that uplift and restore the soul.

Enjoy your summer. See you on October 16.
