Dalene’s first recording was praised by BBC Music Magazine as “one of the finest violin debuts of the last decade.” His second disc of Nordic recital music received a prestigious Diapason d’Or.
In 2018 Johan was accepted into the Norwegian Crescendo programme where he was mentored by such luminaries as Janine Jansen, Leif Ove Andsnes, and Gidon Kremer. He plays the 1725 ‘Duke of Cambridge’ Stradivarius, on loan from the Anders Sveaas’ Charitable Foundation.
