After a silence of more than a year and a half, the stage of the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium will ring once again with the music of Beethoven and Brahms. Vetta Chamber Music brings a program entitled The “B” Team to open the 2021-22 season of The Valley Concert Society on Friday, October 29, at 7:30 p.m.
Led by their artistic director and violinist Joan Blackman, Vettawill begin with Beethoven’s first string quartet. Then the brilliant clarinetist Jose Franch-Ballester will join the quartet to perform Brahms’ great clarinet quintet.
Tickets are now for sale and available to be purchased online at www.valleyconcertsociety.com .
We are not selling subscriptions at this time. Tickets are $28 for adults and seniors and $15 for students.
We will be following all orders issued by the Provincial Health Officer carefully. These orders limit the audience to half the capacity of the auditorium with spaced seating, so I would encourage you to purchase your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
There will not be a pre-concert talk so doors will open at 7:00 p.m. The program will proceed without an intermission.
You will find an outline of the protocols we will be following below. They include a requirement that you bring proof of vaccination, personal ID, and a mask. Please read this carefully in preparation for the concert.
We are looking forward to an evening of glorious music together with you, our loyal and passionate audience. For more information, call 604-289-3377.
